Watched idiocracy http://imdb.com/title/tt0387808/ yesterday and this morning I wake up, pick up the news paper, read the headline: “breastfeeding moms can now safely drink four glasses of wine per week” Apparently the amount of alcohol that reach the milk and effect the child in 2008 is not as big as the amount that reached the milk in 1988! Or so Im led to believe reading the new recommendations of the swedish government in the article.

This could lead non-swedes to think that “Hey! What now? Is this new research sponsored by Absolut Vodka?” That is (hopefully) not the case. It is more likely just another sign of the old Sweden, led for 60 years by the left party (popularly known as as DDR-Sweden) and their habit of protecting their countrymen.
I find it very odd that it is only 10 years or so since they concluded that indeed drinking alcohol while breastfeeding is dangerous for the child. And now there are new lab results tells us quite the oposite….!? What gives?
